Yaldhurst Model School is participating in the Aotearoa Rockstars Project!

From next week (Week 4) you will see Te reo Māori language posters around YMS. The Aotearoa Rockstars Project is a programme focused on encouraging students (and families) to use our indigenous Māori language in the community, whilst developing their interpersonal and public speaking skills through culturally inclusive practises. The project is designed to support the curriculum documents – Te Whāriki, the New Zealand Curriculum and Te Marautanga o Aotearoa learning objectives of the Māori language. We invite you to be apart of the learning journey and use as many phrases as you can around school, at home and in the community. You may also see these posters around Christchurch City.
