Thank you PTA for a Fun Filled Trivial Pursuit Evening

Our PTA are fantastic! They are hard working, fun loving, imaginative go getters. They are 'doers' and boy oh boy do they get things done. They are an asset to our school.
For confirmation of how wonderful they are one needs look no further than to the organisation and delivery of the Trivial Pursuit Evening last Friday night.
So busy was I on Friday night rocketing our team towards 6th place that I forgot to take any photos.
Those of us who attended we were met with a beautifully run event. There was lovely food, spot prizes, a raffle with a $250 cash prize. It was obvious that the PTA had put a great deal of work in behind the scenes finding sponsors and preparing the quizz itself. There was a lovely atmosphere alongside little touches like a native plant for each team.
There was drama: Is Fjordland a district in Southland or a district of and in itself?
There was knowledge to be learnt that may come in handy if you are ever being chased by an emu. It turns out that emus cannot walk backwards yet Kiwi can. So perplexed was I by this fact that I had Aunty Google confirm that the reason behind an emu's inability to walk backwards is still unknown, it's speculated that the knee joint simply. prevents them from moving in that direction.
Who knew? Not our team that's for sure.
What I do know is that our PTA does us proud. I know they would love some new members. Given the fun and funds they provide for our school I ask that you please consider coming to a PTA meeting to find out just what a fun crew they are. A little bit of your time pays great dividends for our school.
Thank you again to all attended the PTA Trivial Pursuit Night and a special thank you to the PTA for all of their hard work.
Ngā mihi
