Trip to Sumner Beach - Thursday 7 March - Parent help needed

All of Te Pihinga & the Year 2 children in Te Mahuri will going on a trip to Sumner Beach on Thursday 7 March and we need plenty of parent help to come with us. Please look out for a notice coming home with your child on Monday.
New Zealand Sea Week is 2-9 March and to support learning about this, the Year 1 & 2 children will take a trip to Sumner Beach to take part in a Christchurch City Council Learning Through Action programme.
Searching the Shoreline – Te ara rau o Tangaroa
What’s on the beach? What gets washed up and what shouldn’t be there? This is a chance for students to investigate objects on the beach – natural and unnatural – and identify ways that they can contribute to sustainable coastal areas.
