Celebrating the Retirement of our Beloved Principal

Kia ora koutou, 

It is with a mix of gratitude and sadness that the Board announces the retirement of our esteemed Principal, Mr Allan Robertson at the end of the school year. After 17 years of dedicated service to our school, Mr Robertson has decided it is time to embark on a well earned retirement. 

Mr Robertson's time at Yaldhurst School Tōtara Tūkaha has seen hundreds of students impacted by his commitment to accessible education, his innovative enthusiasm, and his genuine care for every student and staff member. He will be remembered for his quirky nature and infectious sense of humor. Whether it was donning a brightly coloured outfit, sharing his love of music, or jumping in to help with any task, no matter how big or small, his presence has always brought joy and laughter to our school. 

While the school will see a change of administration in the year 2025, Mr Robertson's impact on the school will not be forgotten. The Board is committed to ensuring a smooth transfer of leadership and will keep the community updated as we begin the process of finding someone to fill his shoes.
