It is a great pleasure to congratulate and welcome Sybil Hart-Woolcock to our School Board.
At the close of nominations at 12 noon Friday, April 12th of our mid-term election, Sybil Hart-Woolcock was elected Board Parent Representative!
Tēnā koutou,
My son Will Hampton has started in Te Pihinga this year.
I am keen to support the school and community in a board position and believe I have a skillset and mindset that aligns to the schools’ principles.
I am the Group IT Programme manager for Fulton Hogan. Our IT team supports over 10,000 employees across Australasia with a diverse range of needs. In this role I design and deliver key strategies to meet business requirements, position the IT team for the future and mature our Project Management functions whilst also being responsible for the success of all IT projects across the group. I have skills managing projects, programmes, portfolios, executive steering committees and teams as well as multi-million dollar budgets. I am interested in technology and keep my finger on the pulse with new and emerging technologies to best understand how to adapt for the future and harness change for the benefit of our people and business. People are at the heart of everything I do. Building and maintaining relationships with a diverse range of people is the best part of my career and I love teaching and supporting my team to achieve the career growth they desire. I have championed the Reo Māori strategy and mental health initiatives within the IT function.
In my personal life I am a solo Mum to my incredible boy. I have 50/50 shared care with his dad. On my weeks with Will, I am 100% dedicated to him. This can affect my ability to be available during this time, however I always have the technology to attend meetings remotely.
As I watched Will grow, I realised he was an outdoorsy kid. So, over the last few years I have learned bushcraft, how to hunt and fish and have moved to a lifestyle block so we can live in a fun mixture of town and country.
I also like to get involved in fundraising and awareness for women’s & children’s and mental health charities.
Nga mihi nui,
Sybil Hart-Woolcock
