Visit this articleInteresting facts:- Not only the Yaldhurst School Headmaster but was also a part owner of an old London Library known as the "Hookhams Library" he was also the Chess Editor of the "Canterbury Times" and 'President of Canterbury Chess Club", he won the 1870 "Canterbury Chess Tournament" - I think he may have unknowingly, been the first YMS HERO too!
