School Newsletters

Robyn Bradley

Newsletters in Hail take away all the stress! They design themselves and save you between 4 to 6 hours a week!

Create your school newsletter in just a few steps!

So how?

(Well the first step is to sign up for Hail. You can do that here or the Hail team will do a free set-up — just drop us a message support@hail.to).

Step 1. Invite Contributors

In Hail, one of the key features is that you can invite all those who contribute to the newsletter to join your school Hail account.  You decide who you want to invite but it could be teachers, BOT members, students, PTA reps and of course the School Principal!

Some schools have hundreds of members in their Hail account (oh, and best of all, YOU control who has access and YOU decide what and when school news is published).

Step. 2. Write the News

Each member in your Hail account creates a news story. It's simple because we use streamlined templates to make it really easy to add the details. Best of all you can add as many pictures and as you like, as well as interactive features like videos and maps. And all beautifully formatted with the most painless system around!

Step 3:  Time to Create a School Newsletter

  •  You create a new publication. There are a few different styles to choose from but the most common format used by schools is our Newsletter format.

  • Select the articles that have been created. It's dead easy to browse everyone's latest articles and add the relevant ones.

  • Add a title, a welcome message and order the articles however you like. You might want to make the Principal's the first article

  • Then you click Publish.

In Hail there is no design expertise needed — no need to worry about the size of the images being used, the layout or format — we do all this for you!  You can ditch Publisher, InDesign, Word and Google Pages because Hail has it covered. And it's all perfectly mobile-friendly and of course looks amazing.

Done and dusted

Your school newsletter is now ready to be shared with your school community — we have this covered too.

When you are ready, in a single click you can:

  • Send a beautiful email to your parents or other groups

  • Share the newsletter to Facebook and/or Twitter

  • Send it out as a Text Message

  • Update the school website

  • Add school news to a blog site

Now review your stats and see what your readers enjoyed reading the most! And write some more content like that!
