It is really important that students wear sports uniforms and sports shoes on this day. Year 4-6 netball girls need to ensure they have their netball dress at school for photos. We invite all coaches and managers to attend photos with their teams if possible. Please email sports@brownsbay.school.nz if you plan to attend, so photos are not taken without you.

Y5/6 Super Cluster Basketball

Today, our top Basketball teams played at the Super Cluster Basketball tournament held at Eventfinder Stadium. They competed against 8 other schools, with very tough games. All who attended played so well and should be so proud of themselves.

Our Year 6 Girls team played off for Bronze, and although they played hard, they had to settle for 4th place.

Our Top Year 6 Boys/Mixed team had to do a penalty shootout to move from pool play as top of their pool going into the finals. They won their semi-final convincingly against Pinehurst and met a very strong Murrays Bay side in the Final. It was a super tight game with the lead changing many times throughout the game. BBS ended up coming 2nd by only 1 point!

A huge thank you to Mark McDonald, Joe O'Sullivan, and Morgana Smith, along with Rangitoto students Ruby Smith and Bella Hempseed, who supported our teams on the day.
