Absences and Late Arrivals

It is important that we know by 9:00am each school day if a student is going to be away or arriving late to school so that we can verify the safe whereabouts of all our students.

All absences must be notified to the school office as teachers don't always have the opportunity to forward emails/messages before class starts at 9am.

Absence/late arrival notifications can be made at any time by:

* Absence form on the school app or website

* Email – office@amesbury.school.nz

* Text – 021 865528

* Telephone – 04 477 3423

Late arrivals: if your child arrives at school after 9am, they must sign in at the office before going to class.

Lunch
If your child is regularly bringing yummy food that requires a utensil to eat it, please pack a fork, spoon or chopsticks in their lunchbox, or have one they can rinse after using and keep in a bag or container in their school bag.

School Fleece Jacket Check

  • Please check the name on your child's fleece
    • confirm it has your child's name on it (not a sibling or previous owner)
    • ensure it can be easily read (many are fading/need refreshing)
    • if it belongs to someone else, please return it to the office
    • fabric label pens are available on Kindo and sticker/iron-on labels can be purchased via Stuck on You

Lost & Found

It's pretty cold these days, surely someone has noticed that their child is missing one of these fleeces:

  • 6 un-named fleeces or very hard to read names (3 in photos attached), plus a near new size 2 and two size 8 fleeces)
  • Miscellaneous items including a very distinctive pig!
