Te Papa Trip 2023 - Notice 2

Jemima Colquhoun —

This article contains further information for the Te Papa trips happening in June.

For Harakeke and Pōhutukawa, they will be leaving just after 9am. Please make sure your child is at school by 8.45am on their trip day. Harakeke and Pōhutukawa will then be back at school at 2.45pm.

Koru will leave slightly later at 9.45am, returning to school at 2.15pm.

To help with the cost of the trip, parents are welcome to pay a contribution of $14. This will cover the cost of the bus and the workshops. This can be paid through the online shop by clicking on 'Te Papa Trip'.

All students will need to wear their school uniform, including school fleece, for the trip. Please also send them with a warm rain coat, and wearing sensible walking shoes. Ākonga will need a well-stocked lunch box, as trip days tend to make tamariki very hungry, and they will also need a full water bottle.

Please do not order lunch (including pizza) for your child for the day they are on trip as we will not be at school at lunchtime.

Pizza orders for these dates can be cancelled now via Kindo > My Orders > Transactions (find the date) > Cancel. Any orders not cancelled, will still be filled as we are unable to transfer to the following week. Students will need to collect these from the office on return from the trip, or the following day.

  • Harakeke: Thursday 8th June
  • Koru: Tuesday 13 June
  • Pōhutukawa: Tuesday 20 & Thursday 22nd June(parents will be advised closer to the time which day your tamariki will be attending).

For more information, please see the first article.

Any questions, please contact Jemima (jemima@amesbury.school.nz), or your child's whānau teacher.
