School Notices: 11-13 April

Everything you need to know around and about school for the next few days.

School finishes this Friday, 13th April. Term 2 begins Monday, 30th April at 9am.

Board of Trustees by-election: voting for the Board of Trustees by-election closes at 12:00 noon this Thursday 12th April. Ballot box is in the reception area.

Co-curricular lessons Term 2:  we have a very full timetable for term 2 but we have a few spaces still to be claimed. Further class information is available here. These will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. If your child is currently having lessons, we have automatically rolled them over for next term and you will be invoiced shortly by Gail. If you require any changes, please respond as soon as possible to Rachael van Rij: (communications@amesbury.school.nz)

School Hat & Fleece check: with the end of term rolling round, please use this opportunity to check your children's clothing and gear to make sure you are in possession of the right items! 

Label clothing: the school holidays are a great time to make sure ALL of your children's clothing and properly is CLEARLY labelled.  Please see this article here about Stuck on You's fantastic range of labels to make this even easier!

Attention Choir parents: Can your children please bring a named clear file for artsplash music next term? Doesn’t have to be a new one or a particularly big one, just something to keep words tidy and safe, as there will be lots of songs to learn!

Parent Feedback on Movin’March: Movin’March was a month-long event organised by Greater Wellington Regional and local Councils to encourage students to walk or wheel to school. To help us build on this initiative, please could parents complete this short survey by Friday 27 April. Survey respondents will also go in the draw to win a $100 prezzy card. Thanks for your help - your comments will help us encourage more students to walk and wheel to school!

Let's Go Lego: starts this Friday and then every second Friday of the month at Johnsonville Library from 3.30-4.30pm. Build, explore and create. This Thursday our school Library Out Loud session will include a lego challenge.
