Earthquake Drill and Evacuation

On Monday we will be holding another drill as we continually practise what we need to do should an emergency situation arise at school.

No parent involvement is needed.

On this occasion it will be an Earthquake Drill and Evacuation where we start with ‘drop, cover, hold’. When it is "safe" we will evacuate to the school evacuation points and ensure that everyone is accounted for.

Please note that if you have already scheduled to pick up your child between 12.20-1pm for a doctor's or dentist's appointment etc. please do so prior to 12.20pm. Equally if you are returning your child to school, please do so outside of these times unless you wish to be caught up in the evacuation process.

Electives - small boxes needed desperately

Electives are underway and Amaria is desperately in need of some small boxes - smaller than a shoebox to be more precise.

Have a search around home and if you can help out please drop these off to Amaria in Koru Hub.

Hindi lessons for Term 3

Hindi lessons have been running after school on Thursdays, led by Sunita Narayan, Principal of the Wellington Hindi School. The lessons are run on a not-for-profit basis, with the goal of fostering understanding and appreciation of the Hindi language and culture.

  • If you would like to register your child for Hindi lessons in Term 3, please let Sunita know by 24 June: sunita.d.narayan@gmail.com
