We've made it! 2019 has been another action packed year at Balmacewen.

The end of 2 years of technology for this group finished with them making pies and being creative with the Mystery Boxes

The Year 7's have finished their time in the foods room strongly with some great breads, muesli and biscuits being created.

Despite the weather Balmacewen has had 8 teams in action at the Oval this term.

Screen Printing! Designer Doorstops! Brilliant Bags and Christmas Creations have been pumping out of the Fabrics Room 🎅 Our Year 8 students have gained many new skills and can be proud of the progress made. Keep Calm and Sew On 😀

The 2019 House Leaders have worked hard on developing their leadership skills over the year.

Our Year 7 students have designed and created their own unique Softie. They have been busy challenging themselves with new hand sewing techniques. Everyone has gained new skills and made wonderful progress. Well done Year 7s! Enjoy your handmade Softie.

The school council have had a busy and productive year.

Well done to all students who have played Waterpolo this term.

We had our School Athletics, North Zones and Otago's all within a few weeks. It was a busy time for those competing in all.

During Week 7 all Year 7 classes were given the privilege to have a Ballet lesson with Chloe, an educator dancer with the Royal New Zealand Ballet. This was a fantastic session to tie in with our Term Four topic - pARTicipate - with our focus on the ARTS.

This term as part of our EOTC programme, all Year 7 classes had a day at Long Beach.

Earlier this term Year 7 students attended the Science and Technology Roadshow. This roadshow comes to our school once a year and is an opportunity to look at hands on science concepts and models.
