Term 2 has been very busy and successful. I hope everyone enjoys a well earned rest over the holiday break.

Term 2 Wrap!

Your child will be bringing their mid-term report home on Friday 8th July (the last day of this term.) As a follow up to this we invite you to have a 10 min interview with your child’s teacher. This will be an opportunity for you to discuss your child’s mid-term report in more detail with their classroom teacher.

Congratulations to all students for another successful Science and Technology Fair

On Saturday the 25th of June there was a competition held at Elim Church called Robocup Junior.

The last five weeks has seen the Year 7 students in Art learning about painting: techniques, brush control, colour and tone. They have also worked on developing ideas and how artists often add something unexpected to their work.  Scroll though the photo gallery below and see what they have achieved.

Many Year 8 students have really excelled this term in art. They have created dynamic Artists' Houses.

It has been a fantastic term in Fabrics for Year 8 students with many different  projects undertaken and completed.

The last rotation of technology has been completed for Year 7s and we have another fantastic array of designer cushions made and ready to be taken home.

Balmacewen hosted a choral workshop recently with the other local intermediate schools.

An exciting day of Scrabble was played out at the Dunedin Public Library on Monday 4th July.

We had a great day with the McGlashan/Columba Exchange today.  Thank you to all the parents who came along to support the teams!  

What a great start to the season all of our teams have had.  We have 11 teams competing in the Thursday night competition and all are doing so with determination and focus.

Term 2 has seen another 3 classes complete their time in the Food Technology Room.

The final group have finished their time in the kitchen for the first rotation.

We have two 2-for-1 deals available for each of the following school holiday classes at Hatch...first in, first served...
