2023 KIWI ENGLISH, MATHEMATICS & SCIENCE COMPETITIONS - The University of Canterbury is offering your child the opportunity to participate in the KIWI English, Mathematics and Science Competitions. These competitions are held annually and are designed by New Zealand teachers for New Zealand students based on the New Zealand Curriculum.
The permission forms for the 2023 Kiwi English, Mathematics and Science Competitions will be distributed to Years 5 - 8. The exams take place in the last 3 weeks of Term 2 and the first week of Term 3. The cost for each exam is $9.90. If you would like your child to participate in these exams please complete the permission form and pay the exam fee by Tuesday 9 May 2023. The University of Canterbury does not accept late entries.All forms and money will need to be handed into the School Office by 09 May 2023.
MEDICATION - All medication coming into the School should be handed into the Office. Students are not to keep any medication/vitamins in their school bags. All medication needs to be named and in their original packaging.
LOST PROPERTY - The Lost Property Bin is located outside the school office. If you are missing any items you can come and have a look in the Bin. Please ensure that all clothing / hats are named.

Older and Wiser
Tuakana Whā (Room 4 seniors) have started the school year running! From persuading neighbours to come to church, to making "Jumokbap" (Korean rice balls), to explaining the functions of different parts of a cell, ākonga (students) have worked hard at their learning this term.
