Girls Rugby

This season seven girls joined the team - Meleane Aranui-Tuitupou-Kutu, Autumn Aranui-Tuitupou-Kutu, Izzy Grant, Andrea Mano, Serwaia Qualivutu, Rosa Samuelu and T Wilson.

The Marian Wildcats played in the UC Cup Girls Wednesday afternoon competition at Burnside Park.  The team was coached by Mr John Mills (Rangi Ruru Teacher), assisted by Mr Warwick Taylor (Burnside High Teacher).  

The girls had an excellent season despite only coming together as a team 3 weeks before the season begun.  These are their games stats:

• Lost 55 - 0 against Christchurch Girls High School 1st XV (this team went onto win the comp.)
• Won 55 - 0 against Riccarton High School 1st XV
• Won 68 - 22 against Lincoln 1st XV
• Haeata Community Campus 1st XV defaulted to the Wild Cats
• Won 55 - 0 against Linwood/CGHS Combined
• Lost 20 - 53 against Hillmorton High School: Southern Girls
• Lost 38 - 15 against Avonside Girls 1st XV
• Won 68 - 46 against the Forward Foundation 1st XV
