Football - Boys 1st XI

As with most sports here at Burnside High School, our season was affected by Covid-19, which meant our competition was cut a bit shorter.
This meant that we were placed in two pools of 7 and played a round-robin competition. Covid-19 also had an effect on our national tournament, which was cancelled this year, so the only Football we ended up playing was our Wednesday games over the winter months.
We did make the best of a very bad situation and at least the boys had Football to play. A big thanks to the boys who played well this year, especially to Alex Jenkins and Ali Taqizada, who were our co-captains this year. Huge thanks also needs to go to our head coach, Andrew Bull and his assistant Graham McMann, who did an amazing job this year. Hopefully next year will be a more productive Football year.
