On Wednesday 28 October, the classes of Year 12 and Year 13 Sports Leadership and Performance ran a very successful Ki o Rahi tournament for the Year 8 Cobham Intermediate students.
The 12SLP students were in charge of planning and organising the tournament, including the signage, water, draws, fields and equipment, and an overall overview of the day, while the 13SLP students coached the Cobham students for many weeks in preparation for the tournament.
The energy created on the day was outstanding; the teachers, students and student coaches were all super engaged in the games and seemed to really enjoy themselves. The final was a big highlight for the day as everyone sat around and watched the final teams play off in a very intense and close game.
Overall the day was a huge success! A special thanks to the teachers of the Year 12SLP and Year 13SLP classes for helping guide the students in organising the tournament and coaching the Cobham students.
