PRINCIPAL:

Bruce joined Carisbrook in 2020 and was appointed as Kaitiriwā Tumuaki/ Deputy Principal. He has now been appointed as our Principal since 2023. Bruce trained at Dunedin College of Education and Otago University and has now been teaching for 20 years. He has taught at John McGlashan College and most recently at St Clair, across a range of year levels and brings strengths in relational leadership, music, technology and sport to our school. Bruce is a big believer in the power of 21st century learning and has a passion for supporting children in navigating the ever changing technology around them.
He will continue to lead Carisbrook towards implementing the new Digital Technology Curriculum and is looking forward to working with staff across all levels and getting to know their students.
He is passionate about building strong relationships with the people he spends time with.
