It has been a busy term but much has been achieved. We have record numbers of students achieving Super REP badges and most are involved in a range of extension - enrichment activities. We consider this is important as it exposes young minds to a variety of experiences and promotes engagement. Well done to all our pupils.

Lily Bainbridge competed in the Queen’s Birthday Weekend gymnastic competition representing the Christchurch School of Gymnastics. Lily gained first place overall in the beam, bars, floor and vault.

Congratulations Luke!

Luke McCallum is a talented swimmer who has recently competed in the Makos Zone, New Zealand Junior Swimming Festival. Luke received a range of prizes in his age category including 1st 50m breaststroke, 1st 100m breaststroke, 1st 200m breaststroke and 2nd in the 200m individual medley.

Maliyah’s dancing success!

Maliyah Seumanutafa-Naoupu is a member of the Hip Hop group “High Definition and Frame”. Maliyah and her Hip Hop group recently competed in Wellington at the Hip Unite competition. They gained 8th place. Maliyah has also received 2 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals since she has been a part of the Hip Hop team.

This competition takes place annually and is designed by New Zealand teachers based on the New Zealand curriculum. There will be two competitions aimed at Year 5-6 and Year 7-8 students.
