Futsal

The fast-paced game of futsal was well represented at Christchurch Girls’ High this year, with two fabulous junior teams entered into the Term 1 and Term 4 competitions.

The Term 1 team had a great season overall, with more wins than losses. The team of experienced footballers impressed spectators each week with their skilled footwork and dynamic attitudes. A particular highlight was beating the St Andrew’s team (many of whom were year 11s) in a thrilling final game of the season. Term 4’s team had it a bit rougher as they were playing in a mixed grade! However, the girls were more than up for the challenge. They were relentlessly positive and enthusiastic on court and represented the school with pride. By the end of the term they had really gelled as a team and were keen for more games!

Both teams were seamless in terms of organisation, ensuring everyone participated. They were also consistently supportive of one another, making fun and teamwork the top priorities. Congratulations, girls on two successful and enjoyable seasons!
