The recent Canterbury Interschools Show Jumping/Show Hunter Competition was a thrilling success for our teams.

Christchurch Girls’ High School/ Te Kura o Hine Waiora competed in the Regional round of the Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival on Sunday April 7th at Christchurch Boys’ High School.

On Friday April 5th, 9WIR went on a Taonga Hunt in the city. We set foot from Christchurch Girls’ High School/ Te Kura o Hine Waiora to begin our adventure.

We would like to remind parents/caregivers dropping off and picking up their daughters to/from school to adhere to the parking areas.

Over the past few weeks, our athletics athletes have been very busy. During week 9, 34 ākonga competed at the Canterbury Secondary Schools Championships over two days.

Last Thursday, Christchurch Girls’ High School/ Te Kura o Hine Waiora had representatives competing in the Canterbury Secondary Schools Swimming Championships.

This week in some of the year 9 art classes students have been introduced to using charcoal as a medium in their observational drawings.

Emily Prebble, Year 9 (Delta Rhythmic Gymnastics Club) travelled to Tokyo, Japan recently to compete in two International Gymnastics competitions in Ribbon, Ball, Clubs and Hoop.
