Finally, it has been and what a great Market Day we had this year! It's always a highlight on the school calendar and each year our products seem to get better and better.

This week, a three-day Chinese Taichi workshop was organised for the Years 0-6 junior classes and Years 7-13 Chinese classes. Ms Bai, Mr Jeff, Ms Amy and Miss Rachael from Dunedin Taichi club, were are our Taichi teachers.

Columba College had eight teams enter the Dunedin Schools Primary and Intermediate Triathlon at Port Chalmers on Wednesday 28th September 2022, and some impressive results were achieved!

To conclude what has been a hectic term, the English Department held their traditional Year Level Speech Competitions across the fortnight, as a way to celebrate all things oratorical.

On Saturday, 24th of September, the International Department held a bake-off competition to celebrate the hard work everyone has put in during Term 3.

Welcome to the final Vox Populi for a tumultuous Term Three! This week, we invite Maia Macdonald (Year 11) to wax lyrical about the life and impact of rapper Mac Miller.

Year 12 and 13 French students were treated to their annual 'dinner party' with the theme Après Ski. Students were then asked to rate the party in a French conversation assessment.

Year 13 student Maya Rose represented Columba College and the South Island to participate in the 'First on-site National School Chinese Event - NZ & China, Forging the Future' in Auckland on 24th September.

Columba College is again fortunate to have Jim Hoffman running a Tennis Coaching Programme for students of our Junior School in Term 4 this year. Available for Primary students in Years 2 - 6, the programme is scheduled to begin Thursday 20th October 2022.

Once again, our students have achieved well in these two international competitions this year. The Writing results are still to come.
