We are looking forward to our school community gathering together to celebrate St. Columba Day on June 11th in recognition of our special character. As one of the three annual services on the school calendar, students and their families join with the congregation at First Church for worship at 10:00am.

Oil is a Year 11 international student from Thailand who is an all-round sports person. In the three terms Oil has been at Columba, she had already shown her skills in many sporting codes, especially badminton.

The Parents' Association need your help to gather prizes for our annual raffle.

On Tuesday Columba and McGlashan senior Drama students went to the Court Theatre in Christchurch to watch 'Appropriate', written by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, and directed by Nathaniel Lees.

In preparation for Book Week, we have been busy surveying the students to find out what books they think would be great new additions to the Columba College library.

Earlier this week we hosted St Andrews College from Christchurch for our annual Winter Sports Exchange. Hockey, football, netball, basketball, and trapshooting were played in the spirit of keen competition and friendly rivalry.

Year 12 Columba Biology students ventured out on a crisp Monday morning, headed for the Portobello Marine Centre. The harbour was still, the skies were clear and the tide was out. It was the perfect day to survey the life found along the rocky shore.
