Kia ora Whānau,

What a joy it has been to see the positive impact on the children that the Skip-a-Thon has had. Each morning before school, and during interval and lunchtime our students are out and about with skipping ropes having a ball.

Skip-A-Thon - Thursday 12th September 2024

Thank you all your generosity towards the Give-a-Little fundraiser we are thrilled to have raised $11,760.50 to be used towards sports and science equipment.

The children had a wonderful time showing us their new skills in the Skip-Off today. Click here to view the photos. Thank you to the family members who joined us today for this event.

A big thank you to Mrs Fleming-Connell, Mr Guthrie and Mr Harper, and all of the staff involved in organising and running this exciting event for our students.

The rich learning opportunities that we pride ourselves upon here at Cotswold Mātāhae have been more evident across the last couple of weeks. The breadth of what our children are offered is a credit to our staff. I thank all of those parents for the conversations at home encouraging risk taking and endeavour for our learners.

During the upcoming holiday block we look forward to the delivery of some new furniture for our Year 2 - 6 cohorts. New chairs, high tables, stools and some more storage solutions will welcome our tamariki upon their return from their well deserved break. My thanks to our current Board, and the previous Board of Trustees for making this possible for our tamariki.

Free Student Desks

Over the coming weeks as our new furniture begins to arrive Mr Mytton will be putting our old student desks out the front of the school to go to a new home.

If you can give an old desk a new home please help yourself!

Congratulations to Kate Maloney and Samantha Manson on their appointment to the new roll growth class which begins in Room 1 at the start of Term 4.
