Cust School Newsletter | Term 3, Week 1

Principal's Kōrero

Kia ora koutou whānau. Welcome to Term 3. I hope your week has gone smoothly. What a difference it makes when we get a bit of sunshine and nice weather. I hope you all had a nice holiday. From the sounds of things, there were a lot of sicknesses around the place.

Welcome to Mr and Mrs Schuyt who are working in Room 6. It has been great having their presence around the school.

Class newsletters: Class newsletters were shared via Hero this week. This will give you an indication of what is happening in classes this term.

Three Way Conferences: As per previous communication, please book an appointment to see your child's teacher either on Monday or Tuesday next week. PLEASE NOTE: the school will close at 2pm on both days. The school bus will commence at 2pm as well. Please let us know if you are having challenges with the booking system.

Mihi: Next Wednesday we will have a mihi to formally welcome new students and their whānau to our school. We are very grateful for any and all new students and families joining our kura.

Other up and coming events: In week 3, our students (from Room 1 and 6) will participate in the one day sports tournament. We are looking forward to this opportunity. If there are any parents from those classes that are able to help/support us, please get in touch with Mr Burke. Also, in week 3, both of our EPRO8 teams will be competing in the Semifinal events. We are all very excited about this and wish all those students all the very best. I am confident that they will make us all proud.

I hope that everyone has a nice weekend and that you will be able to enjoy the nice weather.

Warm regards

Gerhard
