The PPTA has notified the school regarding ongoing industrial action in Term 1

Wednesday 7th February is the first day of proper timetabled lessons for all students. The day will start by welcoming Year 7, new staff and other new students to the College with a mihi whakatau. Parents are welcome to attend the mihi whakatau and then leave afterwards.

Last week saw the first International student arriving at Ellesmere College in 2023.

Firstly, thank you so much to ALL our families who have purchased the new uniform for their child(ren), and for being so patient with some stock issues that arose! The students are looking great and very smart in their new gear!

All Ellesmere College students are expected to bring a computing device to school with them every day. The method of content delivery will be through a blend of online and traditional teaching methods.

We are a large organisation with over 60 staff and nearly 500 students. We try to communicate with parents in a variety of different ways.

We offer a wide range of Extra Curricular activities at Ellesmere College/ Te Kāreti o Waihora including board game and Minecraft clubs, held during lunch time in the Library, Volunteer Service groups, Children's University. Regardless of whether your passion lies with science, mathematics, chess, knitting, coding or drama - there is a club for you!

We are very lucky at Ellesmere College to have some amazing sponsors and support from many community/local businesses. But we need more!
