The Unveiling of the "Tū Rangatira" Mural at Argyle House.

Koewyn (Year 12) is a key member of our HBHS Ki-o-rahi team that placed third at the recent NZSS National Tournament held in Gisborne.

Cooper (Year 12) continues to excel in motocross events when competing at the highest level in New Zealand events, riding a KTM 125.

Thank you to the seven parents/caregivers that joined a group Zoom meeting with the Education Review Officers back in February, to answer questions on the culture and life in general within Argyle House from a parents’ perspective. Your feedback to the ERO team, accompanied with the 12 boarders across Years 9-13 that were interviewed over a one-hour period later that morning, provided the ERO team with a detailed understanding of life within Argyle House. Thank you for your loyalty and support of our systems and structures in place to provide the necessary care for all of our boys.

Is a very busy time for Ms Moffitt, as the boys return from school, have a bite to eat from the dining room, then depart for their sports, cultural, club activities and trainings, or head to the dairy, supermarket and town.

The Argyle Junior team and Senior team competed strongly throughout Week 3 during lunch times.

We welcomed Kapohau Johnston-Parekura (Year 13) from Te Kaha, to Grove this term.

Congratulations to these absolute legends, and deserved men of the week, on their recent achievement.

On the 11th of May, intense solar activity meant that the Aurora Australis was visible in Hamilton.

Congratulations to Fraser Gray (Year 10) and Caol Paoo (Year 10) who performed in this event.

It was a much-needed win for Henry Seavill's Bennett House in the recent Tug-O-War competition.

Both Junior and Senior House Tug-O-War Teams got the job done in Week 4.

After holding a strong early advantage, Bennett failed to capitalise as Sutherland held their nerve in the first Matthew Allen Cup Competition of Term 2.

Pasifika Pride was on display as 33 Pasifika students represented HBHS over the three-day Tupaia Tapasa Festival during the final week of Term 1, held at the University of Waikato.
