Lacrosse Season Review

We had two girls teams this year: the Premier and B team. Both teams played extremely well throughout the season. Our prem team came 6th in their division and the B Team came 7th. It was a bit of a rocky start with alot of our girls going to Great Barrier but we pulled through. Each week they improved so much with alot of our girls being selected into Waikato Rep Teams.

I would like to congratulate the following players who were selected for Waikato Rep Teams:

Poppy Doran, Emillia Parkes, Izzy Ford and Ella Roberts, Jasmine Prenter, Kristen Martinus

U15 Waikato Rep team, Australian Nationals in Ballarat, Carys Lawton

Sarah Chain and Tatenda Chikwiri. U18 team Australian Nationals Bridget Hill.

New Zealand U20 Squad Bridget Hill.

Coaching and Managers:

We would like to thank Maree Hill, manager for Prem Team, your support in this role is much appreciated and our players appreciate everything you do each week. Thank You to Louise Hildrick, the coach of the Prem/DevelopmentTeam. I would also like to thank Jasmine Prenter for looking after the B Team on Saturday’s. We would like to acknowledge the huge amount of work and time that our coaches put in each week without them our season would not have been possible.

Thank you to all the girls who Umpired on Saturdays the league could not run without you. Sarah, Amelia, Izzy, Bridget, Isa and Abbey.

This year we are losing alot of our senior players Amelia, Bridget, Abbey, Yuna, Kristen, Jasmine and Leyla . All the best for next year . Hope you still play lacrosse and will see you on the fields.
