When arriving on the first day of a school term, International Students will be welcomed into the school grounds with a powhiri and will receive a certificate and small souvenir at a farewell on their last day.

Short term (4 to 10 weeks) international students are not expected to purchase the school uniform.

Short term (4-10 weeks) international students will be provided with a small amount of stationery from the school.

At Hobsonville School we are teaching our students to use specific learning behaviour language.

The Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice 2021 makes sure that tertiary and international learners enrolled with New Zealand education providers are safe and supported.

Every parent should now have received their login details for the Caregiver @School App.

At Hobsonville School we are continuing to develop Innovative Learning Environments (ILEs) where teachers are working closely together to cater for the range of learning needs within their class.

During the year all students will have the opportunity to learn different kitchen skills by participating in cooking and baking in the kitchen.

Hobsonville School’s library is situated in the centre of the school.

Every Friday we will have Technology and Arts education in the Year 7/8 Campus.

The preferred method of payment for lunch orders, school donations and activity fees is through your myKindo account.

The Lunch Room is open on Mondays and Fridays.

Hobsonville School’s Absence Policy requests parents to advise the school office before 9.00am on the day of their child’s absence.

Hobsonville School does not arrange home stays but we do recommend Lake Panorama Student Homestays.
