Te Tai Poutini Kapa Haka Wānanga
Kia Ora, on Tuesday the 20th, our Kapa Haka group attended the Te Tai Poutini Kapa Haka Wānanga at Greymouth High School. Thanks to tutors Paula Iraia, Jerry Pū and Joe Mason.
The students learnt Waiata, Poi and Mau Rākau. Thanks to our students they were just amazing and well behaved. We were also graced with beautiful food prepared by the students at Grey High. Our next Wānanga will be next month, 18th of October, most likely at Westland High.
This is an amazing way to come together as one to experience not just one culture but all cultures.
