Welcome to October's newsletter. Nearing the end of the year, our school focus is devoted to three main things —making the most of the time left, celebrating the successes of the year behind, and planning for the year ahead.

Kaiapoi High School has partnered with an external provider to bring Pūhoro to our Māori students in years 11, 12, and 13.

We are excited to announce that in Term 1, 2024, we will be welcoming international students from Japan and Brazil to join our school.

We are changing the way we sell uniforms from an online-only system to a physical shop based in Rangiora.

We have had a lot of interest in sport this term, which is fantastic to see. We have so many new faces being part of a team and trying a new sport.

Good luck to all the Year 13 students who are leaving school this week. We wish you all the best for your exams and for your future.

For the second year running, we have had Kaiapoi High School Art students produce outstanding artwork for the Spring Shop Window Treasure Hunt.

On 17 October two Year 9 Social Studies classes went on a trip to the Christchurch International Antarctic Centre with Mr Stringer, Mr Smith, and Mr Hensen.

During the final week of the third term, 48 Level 1 Geography students embarked on a journey to Kaikoura and Hanmer Springs.

On Saturday 16 September 2023, Te Rakiwhakaputa shone brightly at the Waitaha/Aoraki Kapa Haka Regionals, with months of dedication proudly on display.

Year 10 students have been making boxes in their Hard Materials class.

In the first week of term, Mr Stringer's L1 History class went on a field trip during their unit on the Invasion of Poland.

The PTA hosted its annual quiz on 15 September.
