Introducing the new staff at Kaiapoi High School in 2024:

This year, 2024, Kaiapoi High School has officially opened its doors to international students following the COVID-related closures.

Congratulations to the following students who have leadership positions within their houses for 2024:

Every year on Waitangi Day it is known within the community that Kaiapoi High School prepares, cooks and delivers delicious hāngī, and this year was no different.

Introducing Spike. Spike is a gorgeous wee galah. However, the deceptively fluffy pink and grey exterior contains a darkness within.

This year, we are excited to introduce our peer support leaders who welcomed our Year 9s to Kaiapoi High School. They will be guiding our newcomers through their transition to KHS.

On Monday 19th February we had two visitors to the school talking to senior students about future study options and career pathways.

The SPACPAC Leadership Retreat that took place at North New Brighton Community Centre was an event that Pacifica student leaders attended to engage themselves in leadership and culture workshops.

Despite the extremely unpredictable weather, our Kaiapoi High School House Challenge Day was a roaring success.

Congratulations to all our students who have gained sporting success outside of school recently.

At the end of last year, our Year 9 mural artists unveiled their community mural at Dudley Park, Rangiora.

WOW, what an overwhelming amount of students keen to play sport this term! We are seeing more interest and involvement across all year groups which is just fantastic and it's the best time to try a new sport.

We are currently in the process of getting our CACTUS programme up and going for Term 2.

The PTA is a small but dedicated group of parents that work with the School to fundraise to provide a few extras to enhance student well-being within the School.

The installation of the new pedestrian crossing outside the main gate has already made a significant positive impact, making it safer for students to cross the road.

Kia ora koutou. During the last part of 2023 we conducted a survey of staff, students, whānau and community.
