What a fun time we have had learning about the Native Birds of NZ. This has been a wonderful focus for the children and this learning and interest is sure to continue throughout the year. Well done to Room 11 for making it to the newspaper. You did so well raising money for the penguin hospital and we loved eating the penguin cookies.

In two weeks time, we will bid farewell to Kirsty Anderson and wish her the best for her future living in Christchurch and working at Broadfield school.

This week, Kaikorai Primary School celebrated Book Week. I had the opportunity to see it in action and I was thrilled to see so many students excited about reading! But what if reading is sometimes difficult for your child? 

From time to time we have a number of children who do well in activities outside of the school. We love hearing about these but do not always know what everyone has achieved or give it the correct recognition. If you child has done well in an outside of school event and would like it recognised in the newsletter please fill out the form.
