Korimako MH - Trip to Parliament

by Newsletter

This week the Korimako-MH class went on a trip to Parliament. Greg O'Connor, the Ohariu MP, spent time talking to the class during the tour and answering questions. After the tour we had lunch outside parliament. Then we were so lucky to have a surprise visit by Jacinda Ardern! Jacinda spent time talking to the students and stopped for photos. It was a special moment that the students will always remember. Trevor Mallard, the Speaker of the House and ex-pupil of Khandallah School, came over to us to have a chat as well. Special thanks to Greg O'Connor for taking time out of his day to spend time with us during the tour and for pointing us out to Jacinda Ardern while we were having lunch. Thank you Jacinda Ardern - it made the students day! It was a fantastic time we had at Parliament!
