Songwriting
A totally learner-centered experience for Years 6 to 10 with a just-in-time response to writing lyrics, creating and recording melodies and musical accompaniment.
Each learner starts where they are at and is supported to make progress in any or all of writing lyrics, creating and recording vocal melodies, chord structures and musical accompaniment.
They access the cloud-based music app Soundtrap in addition to their own instruments/voices. A Zoom session each week is majorly a ‘just in time’ response to what is on top for the learners and they need to commit to regularly producing some independent work.
Start where you are at, take it further and maybe apply some AI on the way!
Learners work individually and collaboratively as it suits them. We can also cater for a short specific project you have at school for which you’d like some learners to produce music (e.g. school show, podcasts etc).
Being respectful and proactively nurturing of each others’ musical efforts is a requirement. Unsurprisingly the music and lyrics produced are rich and varied!
