Japanese Classes' Annual Hanami Picnic
Towards the end of Term Three, Year 9 and 10 Japanese classes, together with Year 9 French and Year 10 Te Reo Māori, celebrated spring with our annual Hanami picnic.
Hanami means “flower-watching” and the focus of the event is to enjoy the sakura (cherry blossoms) during their brief flowering by picnicking underneath them with a range of delicious treats including mochi and traditional Japanese green tea.
