Te Kapua o Te Raki by Tip Winiata

Te Hautonga Māori Performing Arts Competition

Te Kapua o Te Raki took the stage in Invercargill for the Te Hautonga Māori Performing Arts Competition.

They were only competing for enjoyment and experience but it was nevertheless an exciting time for the group.

The Festival was held on Sunday the 20 of August and started at 9am on a slightly drizzly Southland morning. The weather soon picked up as the day progressed.

Although nerves where elevated, our students performed exceptionally well to the delight of a receptive crowd. A very enjoyable day.
