Classics Quiz Triumph Across the Board: Logan Park Teams Win Both Junior and Senior Classics Trophies

On Tuesday the 8th and Tuesday the 15th of August respectively, the Logan Park Senior and Junior Classics Quiz teams were victorious in the annual Classical Association of Otago Inter-Schools' Classics Quiz of 2023.

After two hotly-contested events, this returns the senior trophy to Logan Park for the first time since 2012.

Senior competitors were: Dekin Jones, Jake Knox, Tyne Grant, Nathan Mutch, Aubrey Alsop Mackie, Micah Duckles, Quinn Wilson, Grace Fagerlund, Frances Reid, Alexander Brown, and the winning team, Eben Richardson, Guy Howell, Felix Telfer, and Ryan Shotter.

Junior competitors were Bodhi Boroughf and Elaine Li, and the winning team of Dominic Mein, Anya McKinney and Jaya Gilmour.

We are lucky to have a flourishing Classics Department and Classical Association in Dunedin. Together they have been organising this quiz since at least 1990, giving students the opportunity to meet and compete with others who share an enthusiasm for classical history and culture.
