Our afternoon tea to meet all the parents/whanau of new students was held on Wednesday 25th February in the Learning Centre. We were thrilled with the attendance and teachers, Group teachers and House Deans enjoyed the opportunity to discuss individual students and their interests with parents. Members of the PTSA and Board were also able to meet parents.

Top Young Scientist discusses Science with Government Officials

Board of Trustees Student Rep, Grant McNaughton, Year 12, won a Treasury Scholarship at the Sir Paul Callaghan National Eureka! Science Symposium in Wellington, late last year. In February he was invited to Wellington to discuss with senior government officials, ways to improve New Zealand's living standards.

Luge

Sports Round Up for February

In February Year 12 student Tayla Ward returned from competing for the New Zealand Women’s Luge team at the World Cup in Austria, Germany and Italy during December and January. Tayla won the individual junior women’s division at the Austrian Cup in Judenburg. Tayla also won the New Zealand Open Luge Cup last year. Tayla will continue training with the national team and she is aiming for selection for the Winter Olympics.
