Charities Group
Our Charities Group – Cupcake Friday was enthusiastically supported by more than 200 people and raised $240 for the Red Cross to use for flood relief work in the Solomon Islands.
Full credit to our Charities prefects Roseamanda Van der Linde and Helen Prime, who organised and ran the baking event that produced the tempting morsels sold the next day at interval. It was great to see such a range of people giving their time to produce the cupcakes and enjoying the experience.
The Charities Group would also like to thank Mrs Brown, who was very generous in allowing access to the Foods Technology room and its facilities. Are we seeing the birth of a new LPHS tradition?
