Jayden Jesudhass, Year 9 was honoured at a Government Function in February in Vietnam.

The Year 13 Biology class began the year looking at how our bodies maintain a stable internal environment.

We enjoyed meeting the parents and whanau of our new Year 9 students in February.

In Term One Miriam Barton and Anna Walrond competed in the 2018 National Sunburst Championship Regatta.

House spirit was celebrated in February with the annual House Day visits to local beaches.

3 of our students had writing selected for publication in the Otago Daily Times in March.

Year 9 students enjoyed our Itinerant Music Concert in February.

Liam Scaife and Linus Molteno have created a new app.

In February all students were given a Wellbeing Planner. This pilot initiative has come directly out of the wellbeing survey which was conducted mid-year 2017.

The sailing season started off with a splash.

Athletics Day was held in February with some impressive sporting performances and healthy House spirit in evidence.

The Learning and Support Class enjoyed their visit to the Dunedin Art Gallery at the start of the year, investigating artworks and discovering why early settlers from Britain and other places came to New Zealand and the difficulties they had to overcome to make a new life here.

2018 kicked off in the library with record numbers of books being issued. We welcomed all the Year 9 classes into the space with library tours and orientation.

We had a lovely group of new international students join us on January 31 for Orientation day.

On the 17th of December last year (2017), ten students flew to Auckland to sail on the Spirit of New Zealand.

On Thursday 15th February we travelled to Wanaka to compete in the Challenge Wanaka Secondary Schools Trialthlon.
