Eight amazing Year 7 and 8 children decided to accept the challenge of civic responsibility in our school.  As a part of their project-based learning, they formed a Student Association to add value, and to contribute to their school.                                           Skye, Ngaio, Cahaya, Becky, Halle, Ollie, Mathieu and Connor set themselves the brief of involving our whole school in a fun event, while raising money for the Loons in support of  the retractable seating for our hall/theatre.  I have been fortunate to work with this switched on group over the last few weeks  as they planned and organised our school fair.  The result was a fantastic illustration of our values  of belonging, inquiring and achieving as they worked with teachers and children across the school.  They also appreciated advice and input from parents. There was lots of problem-solving and negotiation as the fair came together.  A great day was had by all, and the organisers took great pride in presenting funds raised to Mike Friend.  All in all, a day of adventure and fun.

Later today a letter will be emailed to parents advising of school organisation for 2016.

A new feature on our website is a countdown marking the time until we move into our new place. This will be regularly updated and should be easy to find.  Just go to our website and click on the menu button to find Countdown.
