This is the final activity of our Mahinga Kai inquiry unit. In groups this week as Maori art we have drawn plans to make poles (pou) featuring local mahinga kai. Next week we will continue to paint and decorate the pou. They will be displayed in our classroom.

Annabella says, "It is a pretty good project because I like art."

Cosmo says, "It's fun. I will like painting a sea serpent."

Daniel says, I want to paint something I want to eat - a dragonfruit."
