The programme involved investigating water use here and in different countries around the world with activities that were challenging and thought provoking. We even compared the amount of water used in Christchurch before and after the earthquakes.
We were able to view interesting graphics of the wells around the city that utilise the layers of aquifers running under the ground. There are security cameras around the pumps and the pumping station, one as small as your little finger nail which are are there to make sure no-one comes in and poisons the water through the top of the wells.
There is an old World War 2 submarine engine that they used to use. There are computers monitoring the amount of water going in and going out and they also have to monitor the water pressure because some of the pipes in Christchurch are not very strong.
