This term we have been learning lots of new words, skills and ideas in te reo, art and Maths.  

In te reo, we have been learning all about kai.  Some of the words we have learnt are pīni/bean, paukena/pumpkin, pea/pear, hua kiwi/kiwi fruit, pākā/burger, heri/cherry and parehe/pizza.

In art, we have been exploring how we add shade, shape and texture to our drawings.  We have explored the use of different types of pencils that we use to create different techniques such as cross hatching, pointillism and adding depth.

In maths, we have been looking at translation, rotation, enlarging and symmetry. Some of us chose the challenge to enlarge our pictures when we drew them.

We are very proud of our mahi and we enjoyed using different skills and combining them to create one final product!
