The parade this year begins at the school, moves along London Street and finishes at Albion Square.

Festival of Lights Friday 29th June

School community whanau worked with Totara first to teach them the art of weaving a star. Totara then taught Raupo. Rakinui were then able to teach Harakeke and Kowhai. The stars will then be strung up with lights to carry in the parade next Friday.

Wednesday the 27th of June is Lyttelton Primary School's talent show. It will be held in LAF 1-3pm.

Today I cut up potato and pumpkin for our soup. The pumpkin was hard but I put my knife into it and I pushed the top of it. I used perseverance!

As part of our Matariki celebrations we invite whanau to lunch on Monday 25th June at 12.30pm.

For the next two weeks, the school is focusing on making goals, and persevering with them over a period of time. The process of setting goals allows students to choose where they want to go in school and what they want to achieve. By knowing what they want to achieve, they know what they have to concentrate on and improve. Goal setting gives students long-term vision and short-term motivation.

The Festival of Lights Street Party is on Friday the 29th of June and the Family Hub is running our traditional fundraiser. We are selling the ‘World-Famous-in-Lyttelton' lemon and rosemary mulled white wine. This stuff is a hit! Also - Glow in the Dark Gallery!

Head lice may be present amongst children in your child’s class. These insects are a nuisance and we need your help to control and/or eradicate them. Head lice crawl from head to head and may be passed on through shared objects such as hairbrushes and hats.
