Last week at the PTA meeting the new chair, Andrew Hurst, presented flowers to Mandy Hay and Jo O'Neill in recognition for their years of dedicated service as past chair and treasurer.

The PTA is your group and plays a vital role in our school community, working alongside the teachers to provide amazing opportunities for our students. This year they have helped with a number of camps (Y13 Geography, Year 9 camp), have organised and catered the dinner for the school prom, worked with Heartlands to sell college uniform, provided temporary funding for the Spirit of Adventure trip, as well as organising larger projects such as the Art Auction every two years, and the building of the first part of the playground. We welcome more parents to our meetings, which are not long and held once or twice a term. You won't be asked to do a job unless you'd like to! Our next meeting is in the school staffroom on Tuesday the 18th of October at 7pm - coffee and cake is provided.
