Kia ora! What a fabulous day we had last Saturday at the school fair. There were so many things to see and do and the buzz was really exciting. A huge thank you to Stephanie Williams who spearheaded this, and to the team who supported her. The many hours put in prior to the actual event were crucial in ensuring it was so successful. Thank you to everyone who gave, who came, who bought and who joined in the fun. A thank you too, to the staff who gave up their personal time to be involved. Final figures are still being calculated, but we know there is a profit in excess of $20,000. Now to decide which sunshades we start on …

Thank you to everyone who came to the school fair on Saturday and made it a fantastic day with an awesome atmosphere. We are very fortunate to be a part of a wonderful community and were also very lucky with the weather! It took a lot of people to make the day successful and we want to thank everyone that volunteered their time and provided donations and sponsorship. As a team we raised $20k which will be go towards installing sunshades around the school which will benefit our learners for years to come.

The CAM Assessments will take place in the first three weeks of Term 3. The dates have been pushed out to accommodate lockdown measures. To date we do not have a cut off date for registrations. I am expecting to get information very soon. In the meantime, if you would like for your child to take part in any or all of the three competitions please complete the form and pay at the office as soon as you are able. Remember these are for Year 5 and Year 6 students only. Last day for CAM registrations will be June 5.

Please check the lost property box located outside of the office, if you suspect your child has lost an item of clothing. While we try to return any named items, we are unable to match items to a child if they are not named clearly, or the names have not been changed when bought second hand.

On 16 March 2020, the Government advised public events or mass gatherings where 500 or more people are together in one place, at one time should be cancelled. Examples include concerts, festivals and sports matches. The health and safety of all participants, caregivers, volunteers, and staff is our number one priority. Harbour Sport is acting according to the advice provided by the Ministry of Health for public events and mass gatherings and has cancelled the event on the 5th April. We are looking at postponing the Harcourts Cooper & Co Shore to Shore to later this year. All those currently registered will receive a full refund and will be notified of the postponement via email. Refunds should be processed by the end of this week. Thank you for your support.

We are joining with Baker's Delight in Milford to run our Easter buns fundraiser. Each pack is $9.50. Orders are open from today, and close on Monday 6 April at 9am. They will be delivered to school on Wednesday 8 April, and sent home with your child.

Many thanks to all those people who have offered to coach and/or manage a netball team. We can only field teams if we have the personnel to assist them through the season. We need a Year 6 team coach. These girls really enjoy their netball and play straight netball- no changing positions. If anyone knows of a High School student , uncle, aunty brother, sister etc willing to help this team out please let me know immediately. It would be such a shame for them not be able to play.
