On TUESDAY 15 MAY (next week), our Year 5-8 students will be participating in the cross country event at the Old School Reserve. This will run from 12:50pm - 2:45pm.

Mt Pleasant School has joined the Pink Shirt Day movement to Speak Up, Stand Together and Stop Bullying! On Friday, 18 May we’re going pink to show our commitment to creating a school environment that is safe, welcoming and inclusive of all students. New Zealand has some of the highest rates of bullying in schools in the world but there’s no room for it here at Mt Pleasant School!!

What an amazing day for the Team Take Off & Team Magma Cross Country last Friday!! A big thank you to the volunteers who helped pull this together, from marshalling children to first aid to taking the awesome pictures below!

Peep, the whistle blew and I was off. There were lots of pushing and a couple of people crashed but I dodged them and started pedalling hard out. I was in the middle of the pack, so I had to over take some people while I was on the track. Someone crashed in front of me, and I was centimetres away from going down with them.
